What: A variety show featuring singing, dancing, acting and instrumentals.

- Six Degrees of Separation
What: By John Guare, an encounter with a charming African-American stranger leads to a series of unexplained events that raise important questions surrounding the issues of art, power, race and sexuality.

- It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
What: Kris Kringle takes on the cynics in this musical adaptation of the popular holiday favorite told by Meredith Wilson.

- Sister’s Christmas Catechism
What: It’s forensic files goes to Bethlehem in this holiday mystery extravaganza as Sister examines what happened to the Magi’s gold and retells the story of the nativity.

Showtimes: Performances are Wednesday through Saturday, 7:30 p.m. Matinees are Saturday and Sunday, 2 p.m.
- Ian Fleming’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
What: Based on the MGM/United Artists motion picture, with music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, this musical features sensational sets, stunning special effects, an irresistible story and an unforgettable score including classics like “Truly Scrumptious,” “Hushabye Mountain” and the title song.
Where: When: Dec. 9-14
Showtimes: Performances are Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m.; and Sunday, 6:30 p.m. Matinees are Saturday, 2 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 p.m.
Manatee
- Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
What: A host of favorite characters and songs, including “The Candy Man” and “Pure Imagination,” are featured in this show with a score by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley fitted into a new script adapted under the auspices of the Roald Dahl Estate.
Where: Manatee Players, 102 12th St. W., Bradenton
When: Evening performances are Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m. Matinees are Sunday, 2 p.m.
