When the Green Springs community of Pinellas was renamed Safety Harbor in 1917, this church building was already serving area settlers. The church's members included members of the McMullen and Booth families. The Methodist congregation welcomed early residents with social activities such as the Coffee Hour and potluck dinners.
When the congregation outgrew this building in 1960, a new sanctuary was built and the old church was used for Sunday school and office space until it was relocated to Heritage Village in 1977.
