Looking for something to do for date night but not quite sure what to do? You've come to the right place. This is part two of a series of articles filled with date ideas for couples in the Tampa Bay area.
Go on a two hour tour of the Clam Bayou Nature Preserve. Your guide Kurt Zuelsdorf will take you on this leisurely paddle boat ride through an 165 acre mangroves estuary to learn about fish, birds and wildlife in the region. The fee is $90 for a double kayak and tours are available seven days a week. Launch times vary.
If you would prefer to tour the area yourself you can rent a double kayak for $45 for a half day or $55 for a full day. Of course, if you take off on your own you can choose where to stop off and have a private picnic lunch.
Tour times are generally 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon on Saturdays. However, sometimes the tour times change so be sure to check the website before you go. You get to see how the beer is made and then you get to sample two of the beers. After sampling you can also purchase beer souvenirs.

3. Comedy Night
They say one of the keys to a great relationship is laughter. Why not take your gal or pal to see a comedy show? Tampa doesn't have many comedy clubs. There are occasionally comedy shows at the Straz Center, Ruth Eckerd Hall and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, but the two best comedy clubs are The Tampa Improv and Side Splitters.
One of the most fun things to do on a date is be spontaneous! A great way to be spontaneous is to get a full day pass on the TECO Streetcar and take a self guided tour of Tampa Bay. Who knows where you will end up?
A little known fact about the all day pass on the TECO Streetcar is also valid on the HART local buses. For just $5 per person you and your honey can see all that there is to see in Tampa Bay. Find a random spot and have lunch, site see or take fun photos. No matter where the day takes you it's guaranteed to be an adventure.
Consider going a little later in the day and tour until after the sun sets so you can see all the lights of the city.
The tour takes off from the heart of downtown St. Petersburg and glides down to the waterfront area. From there, you and your group will coast onto the The Pier. After that you'll swing by the storied banyan trees in North Straub Park, the sprawling waterfront and Albert Whitted Municipal Airport, where the first commercial aircraft took to the sky. Last, you will glide by the new Dali Museum and get to see the marinas that St. Pete houses.
Tour prices are $55 per person and includes a 90 minute tour and a 20 minute Segway training class. For two hours its $65. Tour times are 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and sunset daily. Sunset times change throughout the year so be sure to call ahead to find out the exact time.
