What was once an Indian Reservation turned bingo destination has morphed into one of the hottest spots in Tampa Bay. When the clubs have closed Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tampa is the place the party moves to, but it's also a place to eat, drink, dance or play any time of day.
Restaurants
Hard Rock Café: Filled with memorabilia from celebrities past and present, the Hard Rock Café is not only a place that serves burgers, sandwiches and fajitas, it's also a museum. With its stage setup inside, it's a place to catch a show as well.
Council Oak Steakhouse: Council Oak is known for their prime steaks and fresh seafood, and is the fanciest dining spot inside the casino. Reservations are suggested but not always required.
Fresh Harvest: A taste of Vegas comes alive in this all you can eat buffet restaurant. More than five dining stations serve everything from seafood to pizza to flank steak.
The Green Room: The best thing at The Green Room is the breakfast and the desserts and the only time it's closed is Tuesdays from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Rock 'N Raw-the Sushi Joint: Rock 'N Raw serves traditional sushi rolls, signature sushi rolls, Asian noodle soups, dim sum and traditional Asian dishes with three menus to choose from.
The Food Court: The Food Court is the epitome of quick and easy dining with cafeteria style eateries where you can feast on pizza, shakes, burgers, Asian food and more. The Food Court has some of the cheapest meals in the casino.
The Pool Bar: While spending a day at the pool why bother drying off and going inside the casino when you can grab a snack outside? Light snacks such as burgers, chicken strips and nachos are available at this poolside spot.
Drinks
Unlike Vegas the only drinks available free at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tampa are sodas, juice, water and coffee. Cocktails and beer are slightly discounted while gambling but they are seldom free. The only hope of getting free cocktails is to earn them with the Player's Club reward card. Drinks can be ordered at any of the restaurants, the Center Bar, the Lobby Bar or while gambling.Gambling
Slots: The casino offers more than 4,000 games including Cash Spin, Amazing Race, Deal or No Deal, Double Diamond, Wild Cherry and Five Times Pay. New to the slot machine group of games is digital roulette but there is a rumor in Tampa that a roulette table game could be at the casino in the near future.
Table Games: Blackjack, Mini and Midi-Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Let It Ride, and Three Card Poker
Poker: There are 50 tables of High Stakes Live Action Poker - from Seven-Card Stud to Texas Hold'em to Omaha Hi-Lo. Tournaments and bad beat poker jackpots are available. See website for details.
Other Things to Do
Dance:The Lobby Bar has dancing after 9 p.m. every day of the week.
Catch a show: Throughout the year comedy shows, musical acts and other entertainers stop by. Most shows are available to the public for a fee. The entertainment calendar is the best place to check for new shows and things to see.
Get Pampered at the Spa: The Body Rock Spa offers hotel guests and non-guests massages, facials, manicures, waxing and more. Just a heads up though, the fees to visit the spa are much higher than going somewhere outside of the casino because of the convenience of being able to stay on site.
Shop: Although the places to shop are limited at the casino there is a Hard Rock store to purchase all of the logoed items, a gift shop inside the Hard Rock Café and the Rainmaker store which sells authentic Native American treasures, hand-made by the Seminole Tribe. The Hard Rock store also sells travel size items like toothbrushes, pain relievers and soap and shampoo in case you decide to stay for the night unexpectedly.
Sleep:Typically, only out-of-town visitors sleep at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tampa, but locals have been known to crash there for the night as well. The hotel is a AAA 4 Diamond Rated hotel with discount rates available for locals.
