Details: The Lowry Park Zoo hosts more than 1,500 animals on 56 acres of lush natural habitats and is open every day except for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Although food is not permitted here, you can get a stamp on your hand and head out to the surrounding park for a family picnic. At the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) visitors can learn about science, brave extreme weather conditions inside, harness themselves onto a bicycle along a 98-foot-long steel cable, suspended 30 feet above ground, challenge their sense of adventure by walking on the SkyTrail Ropes Course, view multiple kinds of free-flying butterflies and more. Mosi also has an IMAX theater featuring educational films and new releases for an additional fee. Outside of the museum is a nature trail and a butterfly garden.
