3. Red Bull Flugtag Competition
Watch the outrageous human-powered flying competition known as Red Bull Flugtag will once again soar over the West Coast…of Florida with a return to Tampa Bay. While Red Bull Flugtag’s 2008 stop in Tampa saw its share of Baywatch lifeguards, cartoon characters and various footwear, it’s up to the creative public to produce a new set of airborne heroes. The event will be held at the Tampa Convention Center.
4. Josh Blue at Tampa Improv
When: Friday October 14 through Sunday October 16
Where: The Tampa Improv at Ybor City
What: Comedian Josh Blue from "Last Comic Standing" will headline.
5. Light the Night Pinellas
When: Saturday, October 15; check in at 5:30 p.m.; Walk Start Time is 7:15 p.m.
Where: The Bright House Field in Clearwater.
What: Join the walk to show you are relentless for the cure. Help fight the blood cancers and help the patients afflicted by these diseases.
6. Veg Fest
When: Saturday, October 15; check in at 5:30 p.m.; Walk Start Time is 7:15 p.m.
Where: Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park
What: The event — presented by Florida Voices for Animals in honor of the 29th annual observance of World Farm Animals Day — will appeal to all who enjoy tasty, healthy foods, whether or not they follow a vegetarian or vegan diet. The food booths drew rave reviews last year, and local vendors are expected to again impress attendees.
7. Wesley Chapel Chamber Fall Festival
When: Saturday, October 15 at 10:00 a.m. to October 16 at 5:00 p.m.
Where: The Grove at Wesley Chapel
What: The Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce will host a fall festival filled with activities such as the Pumpkin Patch Pageant, Hay Rides, pick your own pumpkin, live entertainment and more.
8. Bucs v Saints
When: Sunday, October 16
Where: Raymond James Stadium
What: Watch the Tampa Bay Bucs take on the New Orleans Saints.
9. USF Stampede Comedy Show
When: Tuesday, October, 18 at 8 p.m.
Where: USF Track and Field Stadium
What: The USF Stampede Comedy Show will feature Larelle Crawford and headliner Eddie Griffin
10. Carlos Mencia at Tampa Improv
When: Wednesday October 19
Where: The Tampa Improv at Ybor City
What: Comedian Carlos Mencia will headline.
