Arkansas-based bluesman Michael Burks will celebrate the release of his new CD, Iron Man, with a live performance in Tampa on Friday, May 23, 8 p.m., at Skipper’s Smokehouse.

One of the blues world's fastest-rising stars, Burks' powerful presence, inventive and riveting guitar work and soul-shaking vocals make him the torchbearer of modern electric blues guitar heroes. His dexterity and his charisma have already earned him awards and accolades as well as the respect of his peers.
