Leah Weinbaum is the Outside Sales & Marketing Manager for The Venue and she is out to prove that one person can make a difference in a child's life. Weinbaum is teaming up with the One Voice Foundation to raise money for Lea Sellwood and her mother Kate to buy their first home.
Lea Sellwood was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on her seventh birthday and she and her mother have been fighting her cancer alone. Kate is a single mother that wants to purchase a home so that Lea can have a solid foundation and be closer to the hospital. This desire inspired Weinbaum to create an event called Bay Bash.
Bay Bash will be held on Saturday, June, 11 at Hula Bay Club in Tampa. Tickets are $20 each and the proceeds will go to Lea and Kate. Weinbaum is encouraging those that can not attend the event to make a donation. For tickets and information, visit the event's website.
