Tampa Bay Bucs Home Opener

By September 7, 2010

Follow me on:

So the Tampa Bay Bucs are blacked out for their home opener versus the Cleveland Browns. Many fans are rightfully upset at this antiquated system of the NFL. The team's fans are the ones who are hurt; fans who would still buy the items shown in the commericals during the game. So what does the punishment do? For some, they will pony up the money and spend time in the heat watching the Bucs play. However, with their dismal record last year this will probably only happen when the Steelers and the Saints come into town. Most will just say 'whatever' and watch other teams play, go to a local sports bar, or listen to it on the radio. To me, his is not the way to build a greater fan base.

On another note, there are only a few days left to build out your Fantasy Football team. James Alder, About's Guide to Football has some excellent fantasy football articles from the basics to advance drafting strategy. Make sure to check out the Mock Draft before heading out to your own fantasy football draft party.

I just hope the Tampa – Pittsburgh Game is not blacked out as well. What a mean thing to do to the people of Tampa Florida!
Remember it was the taxpayers of Tampa who BUILT the stadium that the Tampa Bay Bucs play in.
