Bracewell To Perform At REH
Lorna Bracewell, a native of the Tampa Bay area, will bring her distinctive alto voice and fresh perspective on life to the stage on Friday, Nov. 14, 7:30 p.m. at Murray Studio Theater, Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater.
Bracewell has released five full-length CDs on her own label, Braced Well Records, and has completed three European tours. Having delivered more than 1,000 live performances, the artist has shared the stage with musicians such as Amy Grant, Patty Larkin, Chris Isaak, Karla Bonoff, The Pretenders, Colin Hay and Heart. She is a member of Florida State Touring Program and the Southern Arts Federation's SouthernArtistry.org.
Bracewell also is known for giving lectures at colleges and universities throughout the United States on topics such as gender inequality and violence against women. Her workshop, "Love 101: Rethinking Love, Sex and Power" was voted a Top Ten Session at the Florida Junior and Community Colleges 2006 SGA state conference.
Her albums include Don’t Stop Now, Little Miss Obvious, God Forbid, Live for CASA and Flowers on the Chains.
