Dinosaurs Set to Roam MOSI

Thursday June 12, 2008

DINOSAURS! The Exhibition will debut at Tampa's Museum of Science and Industry on Friday, June 13.

In this 5,000-square-foot exhibit featuring 10 robotic dinosaurs, guests will return to the Mesozoic era when the colossal creatures ruled the Earth.

Pteranodon, a huge flying reptile with a 23-foot wingspread, will soar overhead as guests come face to face with Ankylosaurus with her two young, Parasaurolophus, Stegasaurus and Triceratops.

And what dinosaur exhibit would be complete without the carnivorous Tyrannosaurus Rex?

The animatronic dinosaurs were created by Japan’s Kokoro and were developed using evidence from fossil records, scientific literature and input from professional paleontologists.

The exhibit also will feature a Dino dig box, rub stations where visitors can create fossil artwork a controllable “skeleton” dinosaur.

DINOSAURS! will continue at MOSI through Sept. 7.
